Commercial Pilots License

Within the 200 hours required for your Commercial Licence you would be able to train and qualify for additional ratings. All the hours would count towards those 200 required for the CPL.

For many pilots the Instrument rating is left for later in a pilot’s career. The rating needs to be kept current each year which involves a flight test in addition to the normal commercial licence flight tests. The night rating is a vital rating for any commercial pilot and 10 hours from the night rating count towards an instrument rating, even if the instrument rating is done years later. A conversion to the R44 is equally, a very valuable rating for the new commercial pilot.

Due to a shortage of helicopter instructors country- and worldwide, an instructor rating is often a great way for a new commercial pilot to begin building his/her hours. The potential instructor must understand, however, that patience and an ability to clearly and concisely explain concepts to a student are vital qualities.
